Fall Lawn Care

Can you believe it August already? Autumn is just around the corner which means the snow flurries are not far away. Get ahead start on your yard, particularly your lawn, this fall by taking a moment to do some of these things:

Fertilize. Experts recommend you give your lawn a good fertilization in the fall to help it stay healthy and will give your lawn a good start in the spring. Most would argue the fall is the best time, even more preferably, to fertilize now.

Aerate. If you didn't do this in the spring, no worries. the fall is still a good time to get your lawn aerated to help the nutrients get down in the soil.

Pick up the leaves. It is early yet, but in a couple of months the leaves will begin to change colors before falling off the trees. It is important to make sure you keep the leaves raked up, avoiding the wet, sticky mat that can form and cause damage to your lawn.
