Celebrating Valentine’s Day

Roses are red, violets are blue…how many of us have received a poem that started out just like that for Valentine’s Day? There is something nice about the February 14th holiday ~ a day dedicated to love.

According to legend, it was Saint Valentine who actually sent the first “valentine.” In prison, it is believed Valentine fell in love with his jailer’s daughter. Before his death it is rumored he wrote her a letter, where is signed it “From your Valentine,” and the tradition has continued to today.

People have various views on the holiday ~ you could say there is a love/hate relationship with the holiday. Valentine's is the a fun day to let the people in your life know you love them and to extend that love to yourself! What are some of your favorite ways to pamper you?
